Westerleigh Group’s crematoria focus on father figures
Westerleigh Group’s crematoria are marking Father’s Day with a number of different events and activities to enable families to commemorate the lives of their loved ones.
Westerleigh Group is one of the UK’s largest owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Some crematoria are offering opportunities for families to share quiet moments of reflection and remembrance in their chapel or grounds, while others will have tags and pebbles on which personal messages can be written, and then placed on the loved one’s memorial or taken home.
And some crematoria will offer flowers that can be used in a similar way, while others will be inviting visitors to place messages in their Letters to Heaven or Letters to Loved Ones memorial post boxes.
All Westerleigh Group’s crematoria also have a special offer; they are giving 10% off all new memorial purchases, including their personalisation (if purchased in the same transaction) between 1 June and 2 July 2023.
The offer is available towards the entire purchase, including the lease of a memorial plot, a memorial itself as well as its personalisation (terms and conditions apply), enabling families to choose a memorial that truly reflects their loved one.
Westerleigh Group also includes Distinct Cremations, which provides a range of direct cremation services and funeral plans, with the exceptional levels of care that the group is renowned for.
Anyone who has already taken out a funeral plan with, or has already used, Distinct Cremations, is being invited to remember their fathers and father figures next month at their local Westerleigh crematorium.
The group’s Chief Executive Officer, Debbie Smith, said: “Father’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their dad or father-figure.
“More and more people are discovering that our crematoria and cemeteries are not just places they come to in order to attend a service but are also beautiful settings to visit whenever they wish to remember their loved ones.
“Specific days such as Father’s Day can be emotional times when losses can be felt more than at other times, so we hope that visiting us will bring comfort to those who need it.
“And, if they are thinking of having a more permanent memorial, we have experienced colleagues who are passionate about caring for the families they serve and can help them create a unique and personal tribute to any loved one they have lost.”
